Storm Chasing May 30

Hello readers! Yesterday I got to see some amazing beauty in nature. I wanted to share with you all what I got to experience. Every Thursday evening Chris parents come and pick up my son to have some Grandma and Grandpa time aka give mommy and daddy a little rest. About 4 o’clock Chris started to notice the weather pickup in intensity in Oklahoma. He got that look in his eye that was a mix between hurry up lets go and sad puppy eyes so… naturally I said sure why not! After all, I still have yet to see a tornado touchdown in real life. We did what any amateur storm spotter would do drop the kiddo off at the grandparent’s early and studied  what storm cell we wanted to chase first. We picked the closest one to us if we would have picked the one father into OK we probably would have missed out on both storm systems due to travel time. We didn’t even have time to see if anyone wanted to join us we just scrambled and left. Traveling into Oklahoma the clouds were absolutely gorgeous and huge! Full of fluffy white absorbing and reflecting the sun adding in the dark rain filled clouds it was a sight to see in just itself. Nature is always beautiful, but watching a storm from the beginning small cell grow and pull energy from all around you is just something else! Most to the time when we go we have the good radars to refer to we just had our phones to rely on yesterday. For those that are scared of storms they are scary and you have every right to be concerned when we are out chasing, but I have to make you aware we are always safe when chasing. We always follow the storm that’s why it’s called chasing. The TV shows you see those professional their goal is to want to get into the heart of the storm punching the core (driving through heavy rain and hail) because they are there to take measurements and study more of what the actual tornado does and where it will go. The professionals have done an amazing job of making us aware and giving everyone time to take cover when needed. Social media I believe has helped people become more aware, everyone should take the advice and like the weather pages/storm spotter pages to keep updated. Here are a few I follow https://www.facebook.com/ReedTimmerTVN,
Here are the shots Chris and I captured yesterday. Hope you enjoy! They are in random order. What I love about these pics more than any other is the rainbow in many pics. It was so pretty combined with the storm. Such beauty! Some pics are hard to see the rainbow panoramic pics you see it better.
